In loving memory of Lil' Anthony's Grandmother Ethel Wells and Grandfather Henry Wells who raised him in the small country town of Haughton, Louisiana.
To his Grandmother who always cooked these soul food dishes with those big ol' biscuits from scratch and would see to it that he started each morning off with a full belly of southern style breakfast. Also, to his mother Elizabeth Burns who loved life and the Blues.
To each of the summers he remembers going to visit his mother in Kansas City, Missouri and listening to BB King, Al Green, Isaac Hayes, Sam Cook on the balcony of 13th and Euclid where the Old municipal baseball stadium was. She often talked about Beale Street and Memphis.
Well mama, we have made it.
I was only between the ages of 9 and 14 then, now im 48 (but who's counting). Mama's good and your love for the blues have inspired Lil' Anthony's Cafe on Beale Street in Memphis TN. So you all can look down from heaven and smile because we did it.
Love Always,
Lil Anthony
